Embracing Digital Transformation
Are You Ready?

According to Accenture, new global research found that in the last two years alone, one in two companies have had to transform multiple parts of their business at the same time or execute a single large transformation much faster than ever before. We call this compressed transformation. To many organisations, this change seems to be racing towards us at a significant speed.

So, are UK executives ready for change? Here are some interesting stats: –

97% of UK executives agree that convergence of digital and physical works will transform their industry over the next decade.

99% of UK executives agree advancements in generative AI such as GPT-3 are ushering in a new era of enterprise intelligence.

As we reflect on the past nine months of 2023, we have seen the continuation of innovations and developments in transformative technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), the internet of things (IoT), virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR), cloud computing, blockchain, and super-fast network protocols like 5G.

More than ever, technology seems to be hurdling forward at an incredible pace. So, what more can we expect towards the end of the year and beyond?

We expect to see new solutions for augmented working, hybrid and remote working, business decision-making, and automation of manual, routine, and creative workloads combine these technologies in ways that enable them to enhance each other. This brings us closer than ever to the point where we are able to create “intelligent enterprises” where systems and processes support each other to complete menial and mundane tasks in the most efficient way possible.

To prepare for this, organisations must ensure they embed the right technology throughout their processes and in every area of operations. At this point, we understand that all our customers across multiple sectors are under pressure to grow their understanding of how AI and the other technologies mentioned above will impact their business.

More effective sales and marketing, better customer service, more efficient supply chains, products and services that are more aligned with customer needs, and streamlined manufacturing processes are all on the table. Plus, the barriers to accessing them will be lower than ever. Many of these technologies, such as AI and blockchain, are now available in ‘as-a-service’ models via the cloud, and new interfaces and apps give businesses access to them via no-code environments.

In summary, perhaps what we have observed more than ever is that customers crave experience above all else. Customers are carefully considering what the experience is like from the process of purchasing, receiving the goods and services we invest in. As a global award-winning partner, we will continue to drive customer experience in everything we do. The role that technology plays here, and in 2023, we have been working hard to evolve our customer service portals such as our new CRM system and our Active Insights app.

Both these portals play a key role for us as we hurdle towards 2024 and beyond, with customer interaction at the heart of our business. Over the next three to five years, Active Digital will be focusing on driving digital transformation for our customers, with sustainability and corporate social responsibility sitting at the heart of what we do.

All our customers are on a digital journey with us. Next, companies must harness more technology innovation over the next decade, including the need for total enterprise reinvention. Cloud, AI, and the metaverse, in particular, have accelerated to such degrees that they dramatically speed up change, bend the innovation curve and create more and more value for every business and organisation.

Perhaps not everyone may be ready for this change, but our advice to leaders is to prepare now for the future. We look forward to continuing to share our knowledge and expertise with customers.

Whatever the future, we are here to support your technology and your telecoms, every step of the way.
